The purpose of a drop down longboard is to get the rider closer to the pavement. Witch will give the rider a lower center of gravity, the longboard becomes much more stable by doing so. This helps smooth out the ride at faster speeds, and helps to eliminate speed wobbles that can happen on top-mount boards. Paradise Drop Down longboards are made from North American Maple.
